From Kansas, with love...

I tried SO hard to get a blog post done before we left for our little vacation, but it just did not happen. Fail on my part. In my defense, I was uber busy packing for four people for an entire week, AND making sure the house wasn't a complete disaster to come back to, so... Yeah, everything did get done, and we made the 10 hour trip up to Kansas (with a toddler and infant) to visit my (almost) entire family. We left at 9pmish on Monday and arrived at 730ish Tuesday morning so we ended up making great time. Driving through the night definitely has its advantages, if you can handle it. Cash woke up half way through the drive, at about 1:30am, and didn't fall back asleep until about 45 minutes before we arrived. He was such a good boy though and stayed quiet almost the whole time, probably because he could sense that we were on a pretty exciting adventure. Besides that, it was a pretty good trip. Long, but good. And now, I'm writing this at the end of our vacation, 7 fabulous days later and the day before we leave. I have a ton of pictures from the trip that I'm excited to share once we get home (including new tattoos, Fake Patty's Day celebrations, gorgeous houses and sights here in town, and of course tons of the boys with my lovely family). But for now, I'm going to enjoy our last day here, with the people I love most in this world. Needless to say, I'm beyond devastated to leave them. I miss our home and kitties, but I'll spend every second back in Texas missing them and counting the days till we can make our way back. With that, I'm signing off from my first and last blog update from the great state of Kansas. Good Night y'all!

xo, L
